We are committed to not only offering an enriching educational experience at 'Transforming Mental Health with Dreams' but also to making a tangible and positive impact in our community," says Bei Linda Tang, organizer of the event, who is the VWHC Board Treasurer and the IASD Western Canadian Rep. "By directing the proceeds towards the Vancouver Women's Health Collective's trauma counselling and Indigenous knowledge keeper programs, we are aligning our event with a cause that is deeply meaningful and relevant to the well-being of our community members." In addition to the engaging presentations and workshops, attendees are encouraged to dress up as a favourite dream character to share their dreams to deepen their understanding of the transformative potential of dreams in mental health and support others in their mental health journeys. The "Transforming Mental Health with Dreams" event presents a unique opportunity for supporters of mental health initiatives, dream enthusiasts, and community members to support a vital cause while gaining valuable insights into the profound link between dreams and mental well-being. The event will take place on October 27 at the SFU Goldcorp Centre in the historical Woodward's building, which offers a dynamic and inspiring setting for this transformative event, providing attendees with an immersive and enriching experience.
