Guided Dreaming Group Class
All levels welcome.
Description
Guided Dreaming is a new holistic mental wellness practice that utilizes the waking dream trance to reduce stress and solve problems. Created by Bei Linda Tang based on her Pandemic waking dreams of an underwater octopus, combined with modern dream science, psychology, and ethical dreamwork, Guided Dreaming can be accessed virtually by large groups of people from diverse backgrounds, requiring no prior training. With breathwork and visualization, Bei Linda guides participants into a serene underwater dreamscape while awake to meet a friendly octopus and experience deep relaxation, tension and stress release, and mental shapeshifting. Participants are invited to bring a personal or professional problem and a helper into Guided Dreaming and share their waking dreams afterwards with the group to explore meanings, insights, and solutions to the problem. Dreaming and dreams are universally accessible mental, emotional, and spiritual resources that have assisted individuals and communities worldwide throughout history. Modern dream science and psychology agree on the role of dreams in memory consolidation and emotional processing. Each dream contains unique content catered to the dreamer's waking circumstances and challenges. 90% of the participants reported feeling safe, less stressed, and attaining problem-solving insights. On average, their self-assessed mental outlook improved by 31% after just one session. Participants are in full control at any time during Guided Dreaming and can end the process easily by opening their eyes. Guided Dreaming can be delivered in person or virtually to groups of any size. Please wear comfortable clothing and join from a quiet and private space, free of distractions. Sitting with back and head supported is recommended to maintain wakefulness during Dreaming. Exhaustion and substance use may hinder the effect of Guided Dreaming. Please turn on your camera if possible.
